Cloud Atlas Review

1. First Story

The first story focuses on the journey of Adam Ewing (Jim Sturgess) which takes us to the South Pacific in the year 1850. It tells about the life of Jim who has no business being at the sea and his maverick relationship with another passenger.  

2. Second Story

The second story is set in the year 1931 and focuses around Robert Frobisher (Ben Whishaw). Robert finds work as an assistant composer under the person (Jim Broadbent) who is in his downfall years.

3. Third Story

Third story in set in the mid-70's and focuses around Luisa Rey (Halle Berry). With the help of a whistleblower (Tom Hanks) Halle tries to know the truth about the health hazard.   

4. Fourth Story

Fourth story focuses around the Jim Broadbent (Timothy Cavendish) who finds difficulty in getting his book published and faces many challenges in his way. And Jim ends up in a nursing home where he meets Nurse Noakes (Hugo Weaving), who also runs that home.    

5. Fifth Story

 Fifth story shows the futuristic version of the Seoul and deals with Sonmi-451.

6. Sixth Story

The sixth story takes us to future where Zahary (Tom Hanks) sets on the mission to help Meronym ( Halle Berry) once again with a certain purpose.

A great thing about Cloud Atlas is the fact that aside from a talented director team, the movie also has a very powerful cast. One of the biggest actors in this film is the great actor named Tom Hanks. Aside from him, seasoned actors like Hugh Grant, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, James D'Arcy and Susan Sarandon. With these cast of actors, the movie is obviously set to be one of the most epic movies of the decade. If “Cloud Atlas” — with its six connected experiences that period 500 decades — looks like one of the most bold epics ever taken, think about what creating it was like for the throw and team.
